This is something that has been always eating away at me. The fact that if you don't have the right clothes, then you are not on the in crowd, or people make fun of you. This yes affects me, but that's not the main reason I hate it. The main reason is that, kid's seem to focus on what clothes people have, instead of learning or stuff that really makes the world turn for that matter. My 8Th grade science teacher had a poster, and I'll never forget it. "Years from now, it wont matter what clothes you wore, but how much you payed attention." This is so true, so many kid's sit in class, and talk about what clothes they got last night, and there trip to the mall. I know we are all just kid's, but come on now, life is more than just fashion.
Why can't we all just get along, and stop worrying so much about clothes. Why can't we all be on the in crowd and be cool with each other. Although the in crowd seems to be the one's that never pay attention in class and fail at life, no harm to the one's that are in the in crowd. None the less, every needs a little love in there life.
Another thing that makes me made, is the celebrities endorse clothes, which gets kid's more interested in clothes. At my school, if you don't have to right clothes, or are not up to date with the new things, you are as good as done. You must not be cool because you would never in your right mind spend over 100 dollars on shoes. None the less, you might not even have the money to do so. I have some what gotten past the fact that I am not accepted because of my clothes. Clothes are just clothes to me, no matter were you get them.
Now, I know I objected myself when I said that kid's need to focus more on school and not clothes, and then saying everyone should be on the in crowd, no matter what. Please allow me to explain myself. Would you have any drive to do anything if you were not liked in school. What i meant when I said that everyone deserves to be on the in crowd, was not that they should not pay attention to anything but their social life, but Merle to pay attention and learn in school, and be able to socialize with anyone they want to. You could also say that people need the chance to express them selves, and I can understand that, but they do not need make it their life, and make clothes choose who their friends are. This is just my opinion, and feel free to express yours
